GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY
Adult Protective Services of the Permian Basin
OCS was honored to participate in the Festival of Trees in Midland, Texas! Our students shared their talents by singing for the community, and OCS proudly donated a tree for the raffle to help raise funds for Adult Protective Services of the Permian Basin. A special thank you to Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Orr for all of your help in making this a wonderful experience for our students and community.
Keep Odessa Beautiful
On November 14, 2025, OCS was proud to partner with Keep Odessa Beautiful to serve our community! Our younger grades helped clean up the school grounds, 3rd–5th grade students cleaned Jim Parker Park, and our 6th–8th graders worked around the YMCA and the duck pond. Thank you to our students and staff for showing servant leadership and taking care of our community!
The Jesus House: Box Out Hunger
Odessa Christian School participated in the Box Out Hunger food drive by collecting food items for The Jesus House in Odessa, Texas from September 8-12, 2025. We had a total servings of 102,356!
Wax Museum
OCS students recently participated in our annual Wax Museum, a wonderful learning experience that brings history and creativity to life! Students chose their favorite person to research, prepared presentations, and dressed as their chosen figure for the event. On Wax Museum Day, students presented their work to the entire school and welcomed parents to join in as they shared what they learned. This project encouraged research skills, public speaking, and confidence while celebrating the lives and accomplishments of influential individuals.
Entrepreneur Day
OCS students had the exciting opportunity to participate in Entrepreneur Day, a hands-on learning experience that teaches real-world business skills. Students submitted a business plan just like a real entrepreneur, with each plan reviewed and either approved or denied. Once approved, students created and sold their products, learning about responsibility, creativity, and profit. Students were able to choose whether to keep their earnings or donate their profits. Parents and students from all grades were invited to attend and support our young entrepreneurs as they showcased their hard work and innovation.
